The Jaja Binksy Atelier Story
In November 2017, a young woman named Nikki found a six-week-old kitten on the side of a road in Franschhoek. He had been run over by a car. He had been lying there for nearly two days.
She scooped him up and rushed him to the vet.
For a while, it wasn't clear if he would survive.
But he did.
Jaja grew into a constant companion - always close, always choosing people. Years later, when he began to over-groom, Nikki's mom, his Nana made him a protective vest. He wore it every day. And slowly, that small act of care became something more.
Jaja Binksy Atelier was built from that love.
There is more to this story.

Designed to Care
Care was the beginning of this brand - not a marketing strategy, not a concept. A sock cut into a vest for a cat who needed it.
Jaja Binksy Atelier makes companion apparel for the animals who share our lives and the people who love them. Collections are released in small editions, each one carrying the story of where the brand came from.
Every collection also contributes to Positive +Paws, giving other animals the chance Nikki gave Jaja.
care should be shared

this is his mark-J
Jaja means warrior. In the languages that named him, it means god's gift. In the life he lived, it means both.
Left to die at six weeks old. Rescued. Given armour to heal. Still wearing it every day.
Warrior-J is his mark - carried forward into every piece, every wall, every act of protection.
Wear it and people will come to know what it means. A print that stands for something. A community of people who stop for the ones others walk past.
Every Warrior-J piece contributes directly to animal welfare. The SPCA. The mission. The second chances.
The mark is the message.
